1)[line 2]áúåê ùðúäB'SOCH SHENASAH- According to the first and third explanations of Rashi, this means that an animal that had a discharge of blood will not give birth within a year of that discharge. Accordingly, it certainly will not give birth within a year of its own birth, since its own birth affects it no less than a discharge.

2)[line 6]àéëà áéðééäå ãæòéøéIKA BEINAIHU D'ZE'IRI- they argue with regard to Ze'iri's statement (Ze'iri said (20a) that an animal will not become pregnant less than 30 days after Tinuf (or a proper birth)). See Chart.

It is forbidden to offer an animal as a sacrifice before it is eight days old, as the verse states, "Shor O Chesev O Ez Ki Yivaled, v'Hayah Shiv'as Yamim Tachas Imo, umi'Yom ha'Shemini va'Hal'ah Yeratzeh l'Korban Isheh la'Sh-m" - "A bull or a sheep or a goat that is born, it shall be under [the care of] its mother for seven days, and on the eighth day and onward it will be acceptable as a fire-offering to HaSh-m" (Vayikra 22:27). An animal that is less than eight days old is called "Mechusar Zeman," since time must pass before it can be offered as a Korban. (See Background to Chulin 38:15.)

4)[line 7]âåàì îåí úîåøú àëéìäGO'EL MUM TEMURAS ACHILAH - These are the four ways in which Ma'aser Behemah and Bechor are similar (to the exclusion of all other types of Kodshim):

1.GO'EL - they are not redeemed when they have a Mum. With regard to Ma'aser the Torah says, "Lo Yiga'el" (Vayikra 27:33), and with regard to Bechor the Torah says, "Lo Sifdeh" (Bamidbar 18:17).

2.MUM - they attain full Kedushah even though the animal had a blemish at the time it became Kadosh.

3.TEMURAS - animals with which they are exchanged are not offered on the Mizbe'ach.

4.ACHILAH - they are eaten when they have a Mum (and are not first redeemed like other Kodshim).

5)[line 8]æëø ÷ãåù áîúðåú ôùåèZACHAR KADOSH B'MATANOS PASHUT - These are the four ways in which Ma'aser Behemah and other Kodshim are similar (to the exclusion of Bechor):

1.ZACHAR - they do not apply only to male animals.

2.KADOSH - they have to be sanctified (in contrast, a Bechor is automatically sanctified at birth).

3.B'MATANOS - they are not among the priestly gifts.

4.PASHUT - they apply to all offspring of an animal, and not only to the firstborn.
