LENIENCIES AND STRINGENCIES OF TEVICHAH AND MECHIRAH (Yerushalmi Perek 7 Halachah 4 Daf 33A)
There are [stringencies] of Shechitah not found in selling, and [stringencies] of selling not found in Shechitah;
One who slaughters on Shabbos is Chayav [Misah, so he is exempt from payment], and one who sells on Shabbos is exempt [from Misah, so he must pay].
Question (R. Yanai bei R. Yishmael): [Why does it say that one who sells on Shabbos is exempt [from Misah]? We find a case in which one is liable [for selling] on Shabbos!
Exert yourself [and you will find the case]! If one said to his friend 'detach from this ground and acquire it', did he not acquire?!
Answer (R. Yosi bei R. Bun): He is Chayav [Misah] for detaching, but not for the sale. (HADAR TZIYON - OHR SOMAYACH says that this does not exempt from payment. Most Meforshim say that it exempts, but it is not called 'Chayav Misah for selling on Shabbos.')
