2. A Talmid Chacham who is very knowledgeable in Mishnayos and Beraisos is called Sinai. A Talmid Chacham who is very sharp is called Oker Harim.
3. However, Rav Yosef turned down the position. During the entire 22-year period that Rabah was Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Yosef acted with extreme modesty and would not even call a bloodletter to his home.
4. Rebbi Zeira was very sharp while Rabah bar Masneh learned deliberately and reached Halachic conclusions. It is a Safek who was greater.
