SUMMARY
1. A person is not Chayav a Korban Oleh v'Yored for a Shevu'as ha'Edus unless the claimant asked him to testify.
2. If a person swears falsely that he was not given a Pikadon by his friend, he is Chayav a Korban Oleh v'Yored.
3. A person swears five times outside of Beis Din that he is not aware of testimony for his friend. When he arrives in Beis Din, he admits that he is aware of testimony. He is exempt from a Korban.
4. A person swears five times in Beis Din that he is aware of testimony for his friend. He is Chayav only one Korban.
5. If two witnesses swear falsely within Kedei Dibur of each other that they are not aware of testimony, they are both Chayav a Korban.
6. If there is only one witness and he swears falsely that he is not aware of testimony, there is a disagreement about whether he is Chayav a Korban.
7. If one person witnessed the Z'nus of a Sotah and he swears falsely that he is unaware of the testimony, he is Chayav a Korban.
8. If two witnesses swear falsely that they are not aware of the Kinuy of a Sotah, they are not Chayav a Korban.
9. If two witnesses swear falsely that they are not aware of the Setirah of a Sotah, there is a disagreement about whether they are Chayav a Korban.
10. If a borrower is Chayav a Shevu'ah, and both the borrower and the lender are suspected of swearing falsely, since a Shevu'ah is not possible he must pay.
11. If a witness testifies that a person grabbed silver from his friend, and the defendant admits that he grabbed it but he claims that it belongs to him, he must pay for the item.
12. If there is only one witness that a husband died and he swears falsely that he is not aware of the testimony, sometimes he is Chayav a Korban and sometimes not.
13. If two witnesses swear falsely that they are not aware of testimony, and one of them retracts his Shevu'ah within Kedei Dibur, only the other witness is Chayav a Korban.

A BIT MORE
1. If the claimant was running after the witness and he said, "Why are you running after me? I swear I don't know any testimony," he is not Chayav a Korban since he was not asked to testify.
2. Even if his friend did not make a claim on the Pikadon, he is Chayav a Korban.
3. If, upon his arrival in Beis Din, he denies knowing any testimony, he is Chayav a Korban for each Shevu'ah that he made outside of Beis Din.
4. Rebbi Shimon explains that once he denies in front of Beis Din that he knows any testimony, he no longer is accepted as a witness for this testimony. Since he is no longer an acceptable witness, he is not Chayav for any subsequent Shevu'os.
5. If one of the witnesses denies knowing testimony and the other witness acknowledges that he is aware of the testimony, the one who denies is Chayav and the other is exempt.
6. The Tana Kama maintains that since the testimony of one witness is not accepted in Beis Din, he is exempt from a Korban. Rebbi Elazar b'Rebbi Shimon maintains that since his testimony is sufficient to obligate the person to swear he is Chayav a Korban. His failure to testify likely caused a loss of money as most people do not swear falsely.
7. The Torah gives credence to the testimony of one witness regarding the Z'nus of a Sotah after Kinuy and Setirah. Therefore, he is Chayav a Korban.
8. Perhaps there will be no Setirah. Even if there is Setirah, perhaps she will not admit to being Teme'ah and thereby exempt the husband from paying her Kesuvah.
9. According to the Tana Kama, they are exempt from a Korban since it is not certain that she will admit that she is Teme'ah and thereby exempt the husband from paying her Kesuvah. Rebbi Elazar b'Rebbi Shimon maintains that since their testimony suffices to obligate her to drink the Mei Sotah and it is possible she will admit to being Teme'ah, they are Chayav a Korban.
10. However, if only the borrower is suspected of swearing falsely, the lender makes the Shevu'ah instead and collects.
11. Even though he should be believed with a Migu that he could have denied grabbing it, since one witness testified that he grabbed it he is obligated to swear that he did not grab it. He cannot make that Shevu'ah because he admits that he grabbed it, and therefore he must pay.
12. One witness is believed to testify that a husband died in order to allow the woman to remarry and collect her Kesuvah. Nevertheless, sometimes he is not Chayav a Korban, such as in a case where he informed her that her husband had died and she could have gone to Beis Din herself and testified and she would have been believed.
13. Even though he originally denied knowing the testimony and now he admits to knowing it, he may retract within Kedei Dibur.
