SUMMARY
1. Rice is similar to, but not exactly the same as, the five grains with regard to its blessings. 2. There is a dispute about the proper Berachah Achronah one should recite on the seven species of Eretz Yisrael. 3. When Raban Gamliel gave Rebbi Akiva the honor of reciting the Berachah Achronah on dates, he recited Berachah me'Ein Shalosh. 4. One can fulfill the Mitzvah of eating Matzah with many small pieces of broken Matzah that add up to a k'Zayis. 5. Rava says that even a tiny piece of bread requires the blessing of "Hamotzi," as long as it has not lost its "appearance/form of bread."

A BIT MORE
1. For example, it is similar in that one who eats a dish of cooked rice recites "Borei Minei Mezonos." However, afterwards he recites "Borei Nefashos" and not "Al ha'Michyah." 2. Raban Gamliel: One recites Birkas ha'Mazon. Chachamim: One recites Berachah me'Ein Shalosh ("Al ha'Michyah," "Al ha'Etz," or "Al ha'Gefen"). 3. Raban Gamliel questioned Rebbi Akiva why he did not recited Birkas ha'Mazon. Rebbi Akiva replied that although Raban Gamliel had taught that one recites Birkas ha'Mazon on dates, he had also taught that one should follow the majority opinion (which, in this case, maintains that one recites Berachah me'Ein Shalosh on dates). 4. Similarly, one who eats, on Pesach, many small pieces of bread that add up to a k'Zayis is liable for Kares. 5. For example, a small piece of bread less than a k'Zayis that was soaked (or cooked) in liquid for a long time may lose its "appearance/form of bread," and require the blessing of "Borei Minei Mezonos" and not "Hamotzi."
