SUMMARY
Rebbi says that if someone enters Eretz ha'Amim (a land outside of Eretz Yisrael) in a chest, he is Tamei. (1) Rebbi Yosi Bar Yehudah says that the chest protects him from Tum'as Eretz ha'Amim and he is Tahor. Rebbi Yosi Bar Yehudah says if a chest full of vessels passes through an Ohel of a Mes the vessels are Tamei. (2) If the chest containing the vessels is stationary, the vessels are Tahor according to Rebbi Yosi Bar Yehudah. (3) If someone enters Eretz ha'Amim in a caravan or a boat he is Tamei. (4) Rebbi Yosi Bar Yehudah says that if someone is traveling in Eretz ha'Amim in a chest and he sticks out his head or most of his body he is Tamei. If a Nazir becomes a Metzora Muchlat he must recount thirty days of his Nezirus when he completes his days of Hechlet and days of counting. (5) If a person is a Nazir for many days and he becomes a Metzora Muchlat the days of his Hechlet count toward his Nezirus. (6) If a person is a Nazir for 50 days and after 20 days he became a Metzora Muchlat the days of his Hechlet do not count toward his Nezirus, but he does not have to recount. (7)
A BIT MORE
1. Although the chest is a separate Ohel and protects him from the Tum'ah of the earth, however the air of Eretz ha'Amim is also Tamei according to Rebbi, and the chest cannot protect him from the Tum'ah of the air. 2. Even though the vessels are in a chest which is a separate Ohel they are Tamei because a moving Ohel does not protect them from Tum'ah. 3. Even though they are in an Ohel of a Mes they are Tahor because they are protected from the Tum'ah by virtue of being in a separate Ohel. 4. Rebbi Yosi Bar Yehudah holds that only if he enters in a chest is he Tahor because it is unusual to travel in a chest and therefore the decree of the Rabanan that the air is Tamei does not apply. However when he travels in a caravan or a boat he is Tamei because it is usual to travel in a caravan or a boat and therefore the decree of the Rabanan that the air of Eretz ha'Amim is Tamei does apply. 5. A Metzora Muchlat must count seven days after his Tzara'as heals. When the seven days are completed he must shave his hair. A Nazir must grow his hair at least for thirty days prior to the completion of his Nezirus, therefore he must count at least thirty more days. 6. If the Nazir had as many days left that equal the days of his Hechlet and his counting plus an additional thirty days, the days of his Tzara'as count for his Nezirus. If there are less than thirty days left he must recount thirty days because a Metzora must shave his hair and a Nazir may not bring his Korbanos until his hair has grown for thirty days. 7. He only has to count an additional thirty days so that his hair will have grown thirty days at the time of his completion of his Nezirus.

BRIEF INSIGHT
A LARGE CHEST Rebbi Yosi Bar Yehudah says if a chest full of vessels passes through an Ohel of a Mes the vessels are Tamei. If the chest containing the vessels is stationary, the vessels are Tahor according to Rebbi Yosi Bar Yehudah. The Rashash says that only a large chest that is not susceptible to Tum'ah protects the vessels from Tum'ah. Therefore in the first case that the chest is not stationary, only the vessels are Tamei, but the chest remains Tahor.
QUICK HALACHAH
ERETZ HA'AMIM Someone who walks in Eretz ha'Amim on mountains and rocks is Tamei for seven days. If he travels in the sea he is Tahor from the earth of Eretz ha'Amim but he is Tamei from the air of Eretz ha'Amim. Someone who enters Eretz ha'Amim in a chest is Tamei because a moving Ohel is not regarded as an Ohel. (Rambam Hilchos Tamei Mes 11:5)
