SUMMARY
1. There is a dispute about what exactly the Chachamim meant in our Mishnah when they said one must bring "proof."
2. Rav Chisda: This depends on an argument about whether a lender must verify a loan document that the borrower admits that he wrote.
3. There is a similar dispute about witnesses who admit to their signature, but in some way invalidate their own testimony.
4. The Gemara discusses a case of a boy who sold his father's possessions and then died, and there is reason to suspect that he was a minor (and the sale was not valid).
5. Rebbi Akiva: The heirs are not permitted to disinter the body to check whether he was an adult at the time of the sale.

A BIT MORE
1. Rav Huna: One must bring witnesses who confirm that the current status of the person is not what it used to be (see Daf 153, #4). Rav Chisda and Rabah bar Rav Huna: The recipient must validate the document, and he then is able to collect (as long as witnesses do not come and testify that the giver seemed to be on his deathbed at the time).
2. Even though the borrower admits that he wrote the document, he might say that since he could have claimed it was forged, he should be believed that he wrote it and paid it, or that he wrote it and it was never used, etc. Therefore, the Chachamim say that this document needs verification, as it takes away his claim that he should be believed because he admitted to it being authentic.
3. Rebbi Meir: If witnesses admit that they signed a document, but they say that they were minors when they signed it, or that they were not valid witnesses, they cannot invalidate their testimony in this fashion. Chachamim: They do disqualify their testimony on the document by saying that they were invalid witnesses at the time.
4. The heirs want to invalidate his sale due to the fact that he was a minor and unqualified to make a valid sale.
5. One of Rebbi Akiva's reasons was that it is not right to disinter a body and cause disgrace to the dead to resolve such an argument. Another reason is that these signs of adulthood could very well have changed after burial, and, therefore, the inspection would be inconclusive.
