SUMMARY
1. Rebbi Yehoshua ben Levi said that certain character traits depend on the day of the week on which a person is born.
2. Rebbi Chanina says that these character traits differ based on the hour of the day that a person in which a person is born, and not on the day itself.
3. There is a dispute about whether Jews are subject to the influence of Mazal.
4. One is allowed to cut gourds on Shabbos in order to feed them to his animals.
5. There is a dispute about whether one is allowed to feed to dogs a Neveilah that became a Neveilah on Shabbos.

A BIT MORE
1. For example, those born on Sunday have a tendency to be either very righteous or very wicked.
2. For example, one who is born under the Mazal of Ma'adim will have a proclivity to shed blood. However, he can channel his disposition towards good or towards evil, such as to be a Mohel or to be a murderer.
3. Rebbi Chanina says that they are, while many others (Rebbi Yochanan, Rav, Shmuel, Rebbi Akiva) say that they are not.
4. This is permitted despite the fact that the gourds were designated as food for humans, and there is considerable bother to cut them for animals. (The Gemara on 155b teaches that excessive effort on Shabbos is the reason why one is prohibited from feeding animals he does not own.)
5. The Tana Kama says that it is permitted, while Rebbi Yehudah says that it is permitted only if it became a Neveilah before Shabbos.
