Question: May one eat delicacies or meat and fruits after the time of Minchah on Erev Shabbos and Erev Yom Tov?
ר' יודן נשייא סחה וצחא שאל לר' מנא בגין דאתא צחי מהו נישתי

Answer: R. Yehuda Nesiyah bathed after Minchah of Erev Pesach and was thirsty. He asked R. Mana if it was permitted to drink.
א''ל תני ר' חייה אסור לאדם לטעום כלום עד שתחשך

R. Mana replied that it is prohibited for a person to taste anything until nightfall.
