Avrumi Hersh asks:

Daf 5a

The gemoro tries to learn from rosho but we ask rosho is a lav which doesn't apply to women.

The we try to learn from zekono even though it only applies to Kohanim, cos we can say IM EYNO INYAN. But the gemoro asks that we née to know specifically by kohanim because they have more lavin.

So why can't the gemoro learn backwards? Learn from zekono that even a lav that only applies to kohen is nidcheh, and then learn from rosho im eyno inyan, that even a lav which is shoveh bakol is also nidche??

The Kollel replies:

Sholom Rav.

If you begin with "Rosho," you will know that Aseh Docheh Lo Ta'aseh by Kohanim, but only regarding a Lav she'Eino Shaveh ba'Kol, so you have not gained much.

Wishing you a Purim Same'ach.

Avrumi Hersh asks:

I don't understand.

I think you mean, start with "ZEKONO"

then you will know a lav she'eyn bo maaseh EVEN by kohanim. Then you can darshen "rosho" to tell you im eyno inyan the we are doche a regular lav which is shoveh bakol

The Kollel replies:

Sholom Rav

You are corect. That is what I meant. Insert "Zekano" in place of "Rosho."
