(Mishnah - R. Yochanan ben Nuri): If one slept on the road and did not realize until it was dark, he has 2000 Amos in every direction;

Chachamim say, he has only four Amos.

R. Eliezer says, he is in the middle of [his four Amos];

R. Yehudah says, he can go [four Amos] in any direction that he wants;

R. Yehudah agrees that once he chose, he cannot retract.

(Gemara - R. Ze'ira citing Rav Chisdai): R. Yochanan ben Nuri's reason is since if he were awake he would acquire Shevisah [even without saying anything], also if he is sleeping he acquires Shevisah, and he has 2000 Amos in every direction.

R. Yehudah says, even if was awake, and he did not acquire Shevisah, he has 2000 Amos in every direction.

R. Yehudah holds like R. Yochanan ben Nuri. R. Yochanan ben Nuri said that [a sleeping person,] since if he were awake he would acquire Shevisah, also if he was awake and did not acquire Shevisah, he has 2000 Amos in every direction. (We explained this like HA'GAON RAV C. KANIEVSKY, SHLITA)
