CAN NON-SHICHECHAH BECOME SHICHECHAH? (Yerushalmi Peah Halachah 2 Daf 25b)

Question: If an ear was saved from being Shichechah because of the standing corn that it was near, if both it and the standing corn near it were later forgotten, can it then become Shichechah?

נשמעינא מן הדא עימר את הראשון ואת השני ואת השלישי ושכח את הרביעי

Answer: (There are two versions of the ruling of a Baraisa) - If a person gathered (from a row of piles) the first pile, the second pile and the third pile, but forgot the fourth pile -

אית תניי תני אם נטל את החמישית הרי זו שכחה

Version 1 - if he took the fifth pile, the fourth is Shichechah;

ואית תניי תני אם שהה ליטול את החמישית הרי זו שכחה

Version 2 - if he delayed enough time to take the fifth pile, the fourth is Shichechah.

אמר רבי בון בר חייא מ''ד נטל את החמישית כשיש שם ששית מ''ד אם שהה ליטול את החמישית כשאין שם ששית

(R. Bun bar Chiya resolves them): In Version 1, there is also a sixth pile (so that he took three piles and left three piles, and since there are three remaining, they can be considered a separate row). In Version 2, there is no sixth pile, so that only the fourth and fifth remain and they are still considered to be part of the first row - if he forgot the fourth, even before he took the fifth, it can be considered Shichechah.

אם עד שלא נטל את החמישית לא כבר נראה לו לדון את הרביעית בשורה הדא אמרת דבר שהוא ראוי להציל ושכחו הרי זו שכחה

Conclusion of answer: In Version 1, before he took the fifth pile, isn't the fourth pile already considered part of the separate row (containing the fourth, the fifth and the sixth, so that it can be saved from Shichechah; but when he took the fifth, the row was annulled and the fourth therefore became Shichechah) - this shows that something that was once saved can still become Shichechah.

Question: (The Gemara repeats the earlier question to introduce another point) If an ear was saved from being Shichechah because of the standing corn that it was near, if both it and the standing corn near it were later forgotten, can it then become Shichechah?

Suggestion: (There is a Mishnah in the 6th Perek of Peah - Zevachim daf 61 - if there is two Se'ah (a large quantity) of grain, it does not become Shichechah.) If there was a Se'ah of plucked corn and a Se'ah of unplucked corn next to each other, the unplucked Se'ah joins with the plucked Se'ah to prevent the plucked Se'ah from becoming Shichechah (but not if the case was reversed - it only works if the plucked one was the forgotten one.) This shows that the standing grain that saves the sheaves cannot then be saved by the sheaves.

(R. Yona): It can refer to if a person harvested a row and bundled another and he had already forgotten the standing crops (in the first row) before he forgot the sheaves (in the second). (Therefore, they cannot join together as they were not forgotten at the same time.)
