THREE TANNAIM FOLLOW THE SAME VIEW (Yerushalmi Kilayim Perek 6 Halachah 1 Daf 28b)
àîø øáé éåçðï øáé éåñé åøáé éùîòàì åøáé éåçðï áï ðåøé ùìùúï àîøå ãáø àçã
(R. Yochanan): R. Yosi, R. Yishmael and R. Yochanan ben Nuri all have the same view (that although one may plant near a single vine, if the seeds surround the vine, it is prohibited)...
[ãó ðä òîåã à (òåæ åäãø)] øáé éùîòàì ãúðéðï òì âðä ÷èðä ùäéà îå÷ôú òøéñ àí éù áä îìà áåöø åñìå îéëï åîìà áåöø åñìå îéëï úéæøò åàí ìàå ìà úéæøò.
R. Yishmael - as he taught that if there's a small garden that is surrounded by a fence with an Aris (of vines) on top, if the garden area is enough to hold a harvester and his basket on each side, he may plant in the middle of the garden.
à"ø éåðä àîä áåöø åàîä ñìå. àîä áåöø åàîä ñìå.
(What is that measurement?) R. Yona said - An Amah for the harvester and an Amah for his basket; and the same on the other side (which therefore means that the area between the vines on either side of the garden is 4 by 4 Amos).
äååï áòéé îéîø îàï ãàîø îòé÷ø äâôðéí îåùçéï ðéçà. îàï ãàîø îòé÷ø äâãø îåùçéï àéï àåúï äëøúéï îîòèéï àøáò.
They wished to explain that Beis Shammai who said in our Mishnah that one measures 4 Amos for an Aris from the base of the vine, it is understandable; but according to Beis Hillel that it's measured from the fence to the field, don't the vine trunks reduce the 4 Amos?
úéôúø ùäéå çáå÷éï ìëåúì.
Rebuttal: The case is when the vines are clinging to the wall.
ìà àøáò àéðï ëìåí äìëåú òøéñ áçîù.
Question: Why do you say that if there aren't 4 Amos between them, that one may not plant? Less than 5 vines in an Aris are anyway insignificant?!
[ãó ðä òîåã á (òåæ åäãø)] àîø øáé çððéä úéôúø ùäéå ùúé âôðéí ðúåðéí á÷øï æåéú àçú ùàí éîúçí äï ðøàéí ëàøáò áéðééï.
Answer (R. Chananya): The case is when he had two vines planted in a corner, as if you run a string between them, it appears like a vacant area of 4 Amos.
øáé éåñé ãúðéðï øáé éåñé àåîø àí àéï ùí àøáò àîåú ìà éáéà [ãó ëè òîåã à] æøò ìùí.
R. Yosi is the second Tanna mentioned by R. Yochanan who follows this view, as an earlier Mishnah teaches (Perek 5 Mishnah 3 - Menachos 66(e)) - R. Yosi says if there aren't 4 Amos (in a pit), he should not introduce another seed there (since the walls of the pit are surrounding the seeds).
îàï ãàîø îòé÷ø äâôðéí îåùçéï ðéçà. îàï ãàîø îòé÷ø äâãø îåùçéï àéï àåúå äëåøú îîòè àøáò.
Question: According to Beis Shammai who said that they measure from the base of the vines, it's understandable; but according to Beis Hillel who said that one measures from the fence to the field, don't those vine trunks reduce the 4 Amos?
úéôúø ùäéä çáå÷ ìëåúì.
Answer: R. Yosi was referring to when the vines were clinging to the wall.
åäëéï øáé éåçðï áï ðåøé ãäëà.
And so too R. Yochanan ben Nuri (of our Mishnah) holds this way (like R. Yosi and R. Yishmael).
îñúáøà øáé éåñé åøáé éùîòàì éåãåï ìøáé éåçðï áï ðåøé. åøáé éåçðï áï ðåøé ìà éåãé ìøáé éåñé åøáé éùîòàì. øáé éåñé éåãé ìøáé éùîòàì. [ãó ðå òîåã à (òåæ åäãø)] øáé éùîòàì ìà éåãé ìøáé éåñé.
It's logical to say that R. Yosi and R. Yishmael agree with R. Yochanan ben Nuri, but he does not agree with them; and that R. Yosi agrees with R. Yishmael, but R. Yishmael does not agree with him.

(Rav Yehuda citing Rav): (The Mishnah taught (Menachos 70 (c) 1.) that R. Akiva says that work access is three Tefachim.) The Halacha follows R. Akiva.

(R. Yaakov bar Acha): It was also taught in Bavel that the Halacha follows the lenient opinion in Chutz LaAretz.
