7)[line 10]דם התמידDAM HA'TAMID (ARBA AVODOS)
(a)The offering of a Korban consists of four primary actions. These four Avodos are:
1.Shechitah (slaughtering),
2.Kabalas ha'Dam (collecting the lifeblood of the Korban in a vessel),
3.Holachah (bringing the blood to the Mizbe'ach),
4.Zerikah (dashing the blood upon the Mizbe'ach).
(b)When a sacrifice provides atonement, it is through this service that the atonement is gained. This is stated clearly in the Torah: "Ki ha'Dam Hu, ba'Nefesh Yechaper" - "for it is the blood that will atone for the soul" (Vayikra 17:11).

13)[line 14]מוספיןMUSAFIN (KORBAN MUSAF)
(a)Following the Korban Tamid, The Torah requires additional (Musaf) animals to be offered as public offerings on Shabbos, Rosh Chodesh, and the festivals. These are purchased with public funds, and are generally Korbenos Olah. Many of them atone for specific sins.
(b)The Torah specifies the Korbenos Musaf offered on each of these occasions, as follows:
1.Shabbos - two sheep as Korbenos Olah
2.Rosh Chodesh - two bulls, one ram, and seven sheep as Korbenos Olah, and one goat as a Korban Chatas
3.each day of Pesach and Shavu'os - two bulls, one ram, and seven sheep as Korbenos Olah, and one goat as a Korban Chatas
4.Rosh Hashanah - aside from the Korbanos Musaf offered on every Rosh Chodesh, one bull, one ram, and seven sheep as Korbenos Olah, and one goat as a Korban Chatas
5.Yom Kippur - one bull, one ram, and seven sheep as Korbenos Olah, and one goat as a Chatas
6.each day of Sukos - two rams and fourteen sheep as Korbenos Olah, along with one goat as a Chatas. Additionally, thirteen bulls were offered the first day as Korbenos Olah, twelve bulls on the second, eleven bulls on the third, etc.
7.Shemini Atzeres - one bull, one ram, and seven sheep as Korbenos Olah, and one goat as a Chatas. (Bamidbar 28:9-39)
(c)Although certain other Korbanos are offered on some of these days as well, such as the bull of the Kohen Gadol and the Sa'ir la'Hashem on Yom Kippur, these are not termed Korbenos Musaf. Nesachim (see Background to 24:13) accompany all Korbenos Olah.
(d)The Tana'im disagree as to whether a Korban Musaf may be offered at any time of day, or whether it may be offered only through the seventh hour of the day (see Berachos 26b). It is generally offered during the sixth hour (see Rashi to Pesachim 58a DH Rebbi Yishmael).
14)[line 15]בזיכיןBAZICHIN (LECHEM HA'PANIM)
(a)The Lechem ha'Panim (Showbread) refers to the 12 loaves arranged in two stacks (Sedarim) - six loaves to a stack - on the Golden Table of the Mishkan or Beis ha'Mikdash. The loaves are one Tefach thick and may not be Chametz. Fresh loaves are arranged on the Table every Shabbos and are left there through the following Shabbos. The loaves are eaten by Kohanim after their removal. (Vayikra 24:5-9).
(b)A Kometz (that which can be held between one's middle three fingers and his palm) of Levonah (frankincense) is placed alongside each stack in a Bazach (bowl). The Levonah is offered upon the Mizbe'ach when the loaves are removed. Only after this stage may the Lechem ha'Panim be eaten by the Kohanim.

b)[line 17]עליה השלם כל הקרבנות כולןALEHA HASHLEM KOL HA'KORBANOS KULAN- [The Gemara exegetically derives these words to mean] "complete all other Korbanos upon (i.e., following) the morning Tamid." This implies that no other Korbanos may follow the afternoon Tamid.

b)[line 29]מאי איכא למימרMAI IKA L'MEIMAR?- what is there to say? It must be that the two extra words "ba'Boker" are not divided amongst the Dishun Mizbe'ach ha'Penimi and the Dam ha'Tamid, for then there would be no Avodah left to separate between the Hatavas ha'Neros (see Insights).
