THE EXEMPTION OF KELIM (Yerushalmi Perek 5 Halachah 7 Daf 25b)
נפל לתוכו שור וכליו ונשתברו חמור וכליו ונתקרעו חייב על הבהמה ופטור על הכלים.
(Mishnah): If an ox fell in with its Kelim and they broke, or a donkey with its Kelim and they tore, he is liable for the animal, and exempt for the Kelim.
שמואל אמר בשהתריפו מחמת אוירו אבל אם נחבט בקרקעו חייב.
(Shmuel): [He is exempt for the Kli] when it broke or tore due to the [pit's dank] air, but if it [was due to] banging on its ground, he is liable.
[דף כב עמוד ב (עוז והדר)] רבי יוחנן ור''ל תריהון אמרין [דף כו עמוד א] אפילו נחבט בקרקעו פטור דרך נפילה פטרה תורה.
(R. Yochanan and Reish Lakish): Even if they impacted its ground, he is exempt. The Torah exempted [for Kelim] in the way of falling (it is normal to be damaged through falling on the ground).

"V'Nafal Shamah Shor Oh Chamor'' - an ox, but not an ox and its Kelim. A donkey, but not a donkey and its Kelim;
שהיה בדין מה אם בור נזקין שפטור מן המיתה חייב על הכלים בור של י''ט שחייב על המיתה אינו דין שיהא חייב על הכלים
A Kal v'Chomer would have obligated. A pit for damages (less than 10 Tefachim) is exempt for Misah and liable for Kelim. A pit of 10 Tefachim, which is liable for Misah, all the more so it should be liable for Kelim!

It says "v'Nafal Shamah Shor Oh Chamor'' - an ox, but not an ox and its Kelim. A donkey, but not a donkey and its Kelim.
THE OX OF OUR MISHNAH (Yerushalmi Perek 5 Halachah 7 Daf 26a)
נפל לתוכו שור חרש שוטה וקטן חייב.
(Mishnah): If fell in it a Shor Cheresh, lunatic or Katan, he is liable.
אמר ר' לעזר כיני מתני' שור והוא חרש שור והוא שוטה. בן ובת עבד או אמה פטור:
(R. Lazar): Our Mishnah means that an ox that is deaf, crazy or small (not an ox of a Cheresh, lunatic or minor. If fell in) a son or daughter, or a male or female slave, he is exempt.
