Who hates Da'as?

1.

Malbim: Kesilim - "u'Chsilim Yisne'u Da'as" (22). Due to their desire, they do not want Da'as at all. Even though one cannot have Da'as of the laws of Chachmah via proofs, like I explained above (2), one can come to Da'as via Musar and Yir'as Hashem. Yir'ah fixed the laws of Chachmah in his heart, and they become clear to him like something that he saw, or understood via axioms. However, they did not choose Yir'as Hashem; they prefer to follow their desires - "Ta'avah Nihyeh Te'erav l'Nafesh v'So'avas Kesilim Sur me'Ra" (13:19).
