What did we hear?

1.

Rashi: The tiding (where to build the Beis ha'Mikdash). Radak - it says Shema'anuha and Metzanuha (feminine), for it refers to the Shechinah (dwelling) of honor.

2)

Why does it say "b'Efrasah"?

1.

Rashi: We heard the good tidings in an esteemed, high-quality place. "Ben Tochu Ven Tzuf Efrasi" (Shmuel I, 1:1) is an esteemed person.

2.

Rashi (citing Zevachim 54b): They learned [the place of the Beis ha'Mikdash] from Efrasah - in the Sefer of Yehoshua, who comes from Efrayim. Regarding all the Shevatim, it says "the border [goes down,] goes up" or "goes around." Here 1 , it says "v'Alah ha'Gevul

Zevachim 54b: Regarding Chelek Binyamin, it always says "v'Alah ha'Gevul." (In Yehoshua, it says 10 times that the Gevul descended, and six of these are in Binyamin's border (Yehoshua 18:13, 16-18)! Radak - in Yehoshua's portion, it says "v'Alah ha'Gevul Gei Ben Hinom [

3)

What is "bi'Sdei Ya'ar"?

1.

Rashi: It is in the border of Binyamin, who is compared to a forest animal - "Binyamin Ze'ev Yitraf" (Bereishis 49:27).

2.

Radak: In the granary of Aravnah Yevusi. It is called Ya'ar because there was forest wood there. We found it via the fire from Shamayim [that descended to consume David's Korbanos - Divrei ha'Yamim I, 21:26].

3.

Malbim: In the granary of Aravnah Yevusi. Around it was Ya'ar ha'Levanon - "Pesach Levanon Delasecha" (Zecharyah 11:1).
