What is the meaning of "Atzabei ha'Goyim Kesef v'Zahav"?

Radak: Then, those who served the Goyim's idols will realize that they are powerless; they do not save them from their afflictions. They are mere silver and gold.

Malbim: After saying that Hashem is greater than all Elohim 1 , it says that the Goyim's idols are nothing. Their substance is silver and gold; they were made via people; also refer to 135:16:1:2.
