Why does it say that their makers will be like them?
1.
Radak #1: This is a Tefilah.
2.
Radak #2: So it will be in the future, when Mashi'ach comes; those who make them and trust in them will perish.
3.
Malbim: This is the end of making them - their makers and all who trust in them will be like them. They cannot influence more than their [makers'] power.
