What is the meaning of "Musar Ra l'Ozev Orach"?

1.

Rashi: Harsh afflictions are prepared for one who transgresses Hashem's way.

2.

R. Yonah: One who abandons the path when his Yetzer overpowers him, but he does not hate rebuke, Hashem afflicts him, so he will repent from his evil way.

3.

Malbim: There is good Musar and bad Musar. The former scares him with the future punishment that will come on Resha'im, and this chastises the powers of his Nefesh that they not deviate from the good path, amidst fear for the future. The bad Musar brings on him bitter afflictions. Hashem does so to one who abandons the path. He already went on the path of Chachmah, and departed from it. Hashem afflicts him severely. If one sees that affliction come upon him, he should check his deeds, or attribute them to Bitul Torah. Via the Musar Ra he has Tochachah - they argue with him and show to him via Sechel how Hashem paid him according to his deeds, and he should not return to his folly. If he loves Tochachah, he will repent and be cured from his afflictions. If he hates Tochachah, he will die amidst the Musar Ra.

Why will "Sonei Sochachas" die?

1.

R. Yonah: There is no hope for him. He is worse than one who abandons the [good] path. This verse begins discussing fixing the heart. It informs the evil of a heart that hates rebuke.
