What "Chosen Rav" is a Tzadik's house?

1.

Rashi: It is the Beis ha'Mikdash, which David, a Tzadik, built. It is a great stronghold and tower of strength for Yisrael.

2.

R. Yonah: There is great power in 1 a Tzadik's house. This is like "Lo Ye'atzer v'Lo Yechasen" (Yeshayah 23:18), "Ki Lo l'Olam Chosen" (below, 27:24). A Tzadik's wealth and honor will last forever for him and his seed - "ul'Vanav Yihyeh Machseh", "Ashrei Vanav Acharav" (14:26, 20:7). Serenity of Resha'im is for a [limited] number of years - "v'Simchas Chanef Adei Raga", "Eloka Yitzpon l'Vanav Ono" (Iyov 20:5, 21:19).

3.

Malbim: Chosen is something strong that endures. Beis Tzadik will stand, for it is built on foundations of Tzedek, which is strong and endures.

4.

Malbim (based on the Nimshal): One who builds the house of his Nefesh on foundations of Tzedek, he has a great base and all Midos of the Nefesh - "b'Chachmah Yivneh Vayis" (24:3).

1

It is as if it says b'Veis Tzadik, just like "ha'Nimtza Veis Hashem" (Melachim II, 12:11) it is as if it says b'Veis. (PF)

How is "Tevu'as Rasha Nekares"?

1.

Rashi: When the Rasha Menasheh brought an idol into the Beis ha'Mikdash, it was disturbed.

2.

R. Yonah: It disturbs the Tzadik's house 1 . When a Tzadik's son does evil and hates his father's Musar, what he profits via extortion and adds to his father's wealth, it disturbs his father's storehouse, which was gathered with clean hands and proper deeds. Chazal tell that a Tzadik's wealth was lost because it was added to wealth of a Tzadik who did not give to the poor like was proper for him (Kesuvos 66b). Tevu'as is profit and addition, like "Tevu'as Rasha l'Chatas", "u'Sevu'asi mi'Kesef Nivchar" (10:16, 8:19).

3.

Malbim: If a Tzadik joins with a Rasha, and brings to his house stolen grain, the house is disturbed - "Ocher Beiso Yinchal Ru'ach" (11:29), "k'Hischabercha Im Achazyahu 2 Paratz Hashem Es Ma'asecha" (Divrei ha'Yamim II, 20:37).

4.

Malbim (based on the Nimshal): A Rasha's grain and images of desires and doing evil, if they are brought into the 'house' of a Tzadik's Nefesh, they disturb it.

1

R. Yonah: Even though Nekares is feminine, we find that Bayis (which it describes) can be feminine - "Ki Shachah El Maves Beisah" (2:18).

2

The verse says so. Some Midrashim and Meforshim cite 'b'Hischabercha la' Rasha Paratz
