What is the meaning of "Yifresu"?
Rashi: It is an expression of breaking, like "Menei Menei Tekel u'Farsin" (Daniel 5:25). We are Mavreh (give the mourner his first meal) in the square, and Pores for him Birkas ha'Motzi. The Targum of "Hu Yevarech ha'Zevach" (Shmuel I, 9:13) is 'Hu Paris Al Mezona.'

Why did Hashem say "v'Lo Yashku Osam
Malbim: It will not be given to assuage his pain, even over his father or mother.
