Malbim: All the Nochrim are under nature, and the authority of the stars and Mazalos. When they serve Heavenly bodies, for they consider them intermediaries (between them and Hashem), it is not a sin for them. Hashem took Yisrael from Egypt through special Hashgachah, and removed them from the influence of the stars.
