What is the "Chidah"?
Rashi: Nebuchadnetzar is depicted as a Nesher 1 , and Malchei Yehudah as foliage of cedars.
Radak: It is a hidden matter from which one understands another matter. Mashal is a comparison to another matter. In this Mashal, the king 2 is compared to a Nesher. It is a Chidah; only the clever understand it.
Malbim: The solution of the Chidah (riddle) is a Mashal for Beis Yisrael.
Eagle; refer to Mishlei 30:17:3:1**. Radak, Malbim ? Nesher is the king of birds. So Nebuchadnetzar was king over all kings of the land. He rose very high, like a Nesher flies higher than all other birds.
Surely, the text should say 'Melech', and not 'Mal'ach' (PF).
