Why did they say "Al Tishma v'Lo Soveh"?

1.

Malbim: Do not heed "Li Titen" (verse 5), and also what you already accepted to be his slave (verse 4), do not consent in your heart 1 , rather, think how you will cast off his yoke when you will be able.

Perhaps "v'Lo" is written with a Vov and an Aleph, so we can read it with a Vov (consent to him, outwardly) and with an Aleph (do not consent to him in your heart. - PF)
