Rashi (Melachim II, 9:29): Because he was stricken with bad illnesses, Yoshvei Yerushalayim appointed his son Achazyah to be king a year before Yehoram died.

Malbim: Normally, dying of intestinal illness is a good sign. Most Tzadikim die this way (Shabbos 118b). However, he will have many such illness, and it will be disgusting; his innards will leave his body!
