What is "Nikayon Kapai"?

1.

Brachos 15a #1: It is washing his hands. Refer to 26:6:2:1.

2.

Brachos 15 #2: "B'Nikayon" is anything that cleanses. If one does not have water, he cleans his hands in dirt, pebbles or chips of wood!

3.

Rashi: There is no theft in the Mitzvos that I fulfill. A stolen Lulav is Pasul.

4.

Radak, Malbim: It is cleanliness from sin. (I am unlike those who offer Korbanos, and their hands are full of blood.)

2)

Why does it say "va'Asovevah Es Mizbachacha"?

1.

Brachos 15a #1: If one moves his bowels, washes his hands, dons Tefilin, says Keri'as Shema and prays, it is as if he built a Mizbe'ach and offered a Korban on it. Some say, it as if he also immersed.

2.

Malbim: (I am clean from sin.) I do not ascend the Mizbe'ach to offer Chata'os and Ashamos 1 , rather, I go around the Mizbe'ach.

1

David was not a Kohen. In any case he may not ascend the Mizbe'ach! Perhaps he means that Kohanim are not my Sheluchim to ascend and offer... (PF)
