What is the significance of the name Asir?

Radak (from Sanhedrin 37b): He was born 1 in Beis ha'Asurim.

Malbim: Some say that Asir is an adjective describing Yechanyah - he was incarcerated.

Presumably, he means like he says below that he was conceived in Beis ha'Asurim. (PF)

What is the significance of the name She'alti'el?

1.

Radak: The Navi already wrote about him "Ariri 1 Gever Lo Yitzlach b'Yamav." He repented to Hashem with all his heart, and Hashem accepted his prayer. "She'alti'el" - Malchus Beis David was Nish'alah 2 from him.

Radak (from Sanhedrin 37b) #1: Hashem was Shosel (planted) him in the womb unnaturally. Normally, a woman does not get pregnant through Bi'ah while standing (the semen falls out), but his mother did. (There was no room in the jail cell for them to lie down.)

3.

Radak (from Sanhedrin 37b) #2: Hashem was Sho'el on (permitted) His Shevu'ah (that Yechanyah will not have children).

Malbim: Ariri does not mean without children, rather, that his seed will not reign.
