Tosfos ha'Shalem (1): I cast rocks there.

Tosfos ha'Shalem (2): I erected. Yaakov made it due to my suggestion.

Tosfos ha'Shalem (3): Lavan helped Yaakov, just Yaakov began.

Ha'amek Davar: Yaakov erected it for Kedushah. Lavan chose it for a witness for the Bris.

Oznayim la'Torah #1: Refer to 31:46:1:2**.

Oznayim la'Torah #2 (according to Rashi - that Yaakov's 'brothers' in 31:46 refers to his own sons). In spite of Lavan's talk of Teshuvah, 1 he was back to square #1, claiming that the Matzevah that Yaakov had built was his own Matzevah, as if he had built it. 2

Arguably, that was also Lavan's scheme behind naming the pile, and in his own language to boot, so he could later claim that he had erected it himself. (CS)
