What are "Miskenos"?

1.

'Rashi': This always refers to storehouses of grain, e.g. "Arei Miskenos l'Pharaoh" (Shemos 1:11), "va'Yiven Es Tadmor ba'Midbar v'Es Kol Arei ha'Miskenos Asher Banah ba'Chamas" (above, 8:4). Surely they were for grain. One does not make storehouses for gold and silver in the Midbar!

2)

What are "Uravos"?

1.

'Rashi': They are big stables.

2.

Radak: They are feeding troughs. The Targum of "Evus Be'alav" (Yeshayah 1:3) is Urya d'Marohi.

3)

What are "Adarim la'Averos"?

1.

Radak: Averos is Uryos (feeding troughs), just the letters are re-arranged. Adarim are Ma'arachos (arrangements or battalions), like "Odrei Ma'arachah b'Levav Shalem" (Divrei ha'Yamim I, 12:39).

2.

Malbim: I explained in Chabakuk (3:17) that Averos is based on the root Arah. The animals are in the open air (Avir), not confined within walls. 1

In his Bi'ur ha'Milos there, he said so about Urvos. Malbim must equate Averos and Urvos, like Radak. (PF)
