?Vayis?u mi?Yam?Suf Vayachanu be?Midbar Siyn?. Where is Midbar Siyn?
1.
R. Bachye: Between Eilim and Sinai. 1 It is not synonymous with Sinai, seeing as the Torah writes in Pasuk 5 ?Vayis?u me?Refidim Vayachanu be?Midbar Sinai?.
2.
Ba?al ha?Turim: It is synomymous with Midbar Sinai - Initially it was called ?Midbar Siyn? and the Torah added a ?Yud? corresponding to the Aseres ha?Dibros. The Gematriaya of ?Siyn? = a hundred and twenty, corresponding to the number of days that Moshe spent on the mountain.

As the Torah wrote in Sh?mos, 16:1.
