What is the meaning of "Ayin Pakad Apo"?
Rashi: [The afflictions] that Hashem put on you are like nothing compared to your sins.
Ibn Ezra #1: Because Iyov lacks Da'as, he was angry. Refer to 35:15:2:2
Ibn Ezra #2: Because you did not hope to Him, He put His anger on you. Refer to 35:15:2:3.
Malbim: Hashem vented His anger because He saw that you did not do your mission, and people did not gather to destroy the plunderers and those who destroy the world. Therefore, they came also against you - Shva and Kasdim, and plundered everything that you had. Had you eradicated evildoers, they could not have raised their heads against you.
Why did he add "v'Lo Yada ba'Pash Me'od"?
Rashi: The Creator conducts as if He does not know your many sins. Pash is an expression of many, like "u'Fishtem", "Ki Fasah ha'Nega."
Ibn Ezra #1: Pash is an expression of rest, like va'Yinafash; the Nun is omitted. Iyov does not know that his rest (reward) will be great.
Ibn Ezra #2: Pash is an expression of increase. Hashem was silent, and did not put great anger on you, as if He did not know of your many words.
Malbim: Iyov did not know that this is a punishment of Hashgachah against him, for not doing Mishpat for the Klal. Therefore, the anger was great - his children were killed, and he was stricken with afflictions.
