Where should the sinners fall?

1.

Rashi: It is where David comes to inherit his share of good, and the Rasha's share 1 .

2.

Radak: In their place; they should not be able to come to our land to fight us.

3.

Malbim: In the world to come. Even though sinners sometimes succeed in this world, they fall in the world to come. They succeed here in order to they fall eternally there. One who falls in this world, he rises in the world to come.

1

I.e. in the world to come. (PF)

2)

Did they already fall?

1.

Radak: No; past tense used in place of future. (Radak (Yirmeyah 46:23) - this is common in Nevu'ah, for Nevu'ah for the future exists, as if [already] came.

3)

Why does it say "they were be pushed off, and cannot rise"?

1.

Radak: This is unlike the Tzadik - "Ki Sheva Yipol Tzadik v'Kam" (Mishlei 24:16).
