Why does it say "va'Yikra'ehu

1.

Radak #1: He read and spread each one of them. In Melachim II, 19:14 it says "va'Yikra'em" 1 .

2.

Radak: My father explained, he read and spread 2 the one in which was blasphemy of Hashem.

However, also there it says "va'Yifreshehu" (singular). (PF)

2

Did he not read the others?! Perhaps indeed, it sufficed to read this one. Or, someone else read the others, and told Chizkiyah what they said. Or, he read all of them, only when he read the one with the blasphemy, he entered Beis Hashem and spread it in front of Hashem. (PF)

2)

Why did Chizkiyah pray after reading the Seforim? He had already heard Sancheriv's blasphemy!

1.

Malbim: Now he knew that the blasphemy was from Sancheriv himself [and not merely from his Sheluchim]. Therefore he knew that Yeshayah's prophecy 1 will be fulfilled. Therefore he did not make Shalom and submit, rather, he took the Seforim to Beis Hashem to pray.

Presumably, this is "uvi'Yrushalayim Efkod Al Pri Godel Levav Melech Ashur" (10:12). (PF).
