Rashi: After the lightning is the thunder. They bring rain.
What do we learn from "b'Kol Ge'ono"?
Malbim: The sound of the thunder increases.
What is the meaning of "Lo Ye'akvem"?
Rashi: Hashem does not cut them off. This is like 'in three places the Halachah is Okeves the verse' (Sotah 16a).
Ibn Ezra: Hashem will not delay the clouds. This is like "l'Olam Ekev."
Malbim: We see lightning before thunder, because sound travels slower than light. Really, the thunder is first. If we would hear it immediately, it would not be Ekev (after) the lightning.
Who hears the voice of whom?
Rashi: Hashem heard the voice of the Mafgi'a (one who prays).
