Why does the Torah insert the (otherwise superfluous) word "va'Takam"?

Ha'amek Davar: To teach us that she arose with Simchah, because she knew that she was pregnant. Therefore she returned to wear her widow's garments, to show that she is bonded to Yehudah through being widowed.
