Radak: From the days of Alexander Melech Yavan, Bnei Magog were banished to the far north; he closed them off there, past the mountains. They did not leave [until now]. Now, the world will mention you. Until now they did not.

Malbim: After, you will be punished for many days that you harmed Yisrael.

Radak: At the time of the salvation, after all or most of Yisrael leave Galus.

Rashi: Its residents returned from Galus ? they were exiled via the enemy's sword. Radak ? Yonason translates like this.

Radak: This is like "v'Shovavticha" (4) ? they were broken via the sword of the nations.

Malbim: Your coming now is unlike how you came previously. Previously Yisrael had dwelled many years in their land. Now, the sword constantly killed her nation.

Malbim: They returned from many exiles, and gathered to their land from all the many nations among which they were scattered.

Rashi: They were desolate for many years, and returned [to be settled] shortly before you came.

Rashi: You should have put to heart that [Yisrael] was taken out of nations, and the One who took her out will not abandon her in your hand.

Malbim: They were allowed to leave [Galus] to settle in the land.

Malbim: They did not have any wars. You have no claim to come against them!
