What is the exact meaning of the statement, "Ein Sar Beis ha'Sohar Ro'eh Es Kol Me'umah b'Yado?"

Oznayim la'Torah: It means that the chief warden relied on Yosef to follow-up on the work of the other prisoners who were under his charge.

2.

Targum Yonasan: It means that, since the chief warden found no fault in Yosef, he did not deem it necessary to keep an eye on him 1 like he did on all the other prisoners.

3.

Ha'amek Davar: He kept his eyes on him - assuming that his master would not incarcerate such a beautiful slave for no reason - but he did not find any fault in him.

Oznayim la'Torah: It is truly remarkable that Yosef found himself in a prison of prisoners who were all facing the death-sentence, yet due to his faith in Hashem, in spite of the fact that he was not under supervision, he made no attempt to escape! Indeed, even the chief warden trusted in Yosef's virtue and faith in Hashem, that he would not flee!

Why did the chief warden trust Yosef so absolutely?

1.

Malbim: Because he perceived a. that Hashem was with him and that he was virtuous and a man of faith, and b. because, due to Hashem's Hashgachah, he was always successful.

2.

Ha'amek Davar: Because he perceived that a. Hashem was with him - that there was no loss in his affairs and b. He succeeded supernaturally, a proof that he was virtuous.
