Rashi: His ear. Radak - i.e. He was close to me.

Malbim: Sometimes Hashem hears Tefilah from above, and the salvation comes via nature, through an intermediary. "Va'Yet Elai" teaches that He descended and heard my Tefilah. Then the salvation comes via a miracle of Hashgachah from Him Himself, and not via an intermediary.
