Why does it say "Mahalach Eser Amos Rochav"?

Rashi: The interior of Chatzer ha'Chitzonah was 100 wide from north to south. The chambers occupied 50 of this, and in front of them were 50 Amos empty in the north. The entire width of the Chatzer was sealed; there was no space between the chambers and the corner of Beis ha'Chalifos. There was no entrance to the space of 20 between the chambers and the cells, for 15 Amos were in back of Beis ha'Chalifos. Five Amos remained, but one could not enter there, for the thickness of the wall between Chatzer ha'Penimi and Chatzer ha'Chitzonah, from east to west, seals them. It was six Amos thick, and it ends in that corner, in the 100 length of Chatzer ha'Penimi, to the corner of Beis ha'Chalifos. Rather, the wall tapered off, and left a gap of one Amah, enough for a person to enter the five Amos. He goes west for 10 Amos, the width of Beis ha'Chalifos 1 , and enters the space of 20 Amos.

Radak: Between opposite chambers was 10 Amos.

Vilna Gaon: There were 10 Amos [from east to west 2 ] from the north wall of Chatzer ha'Penimi to [the southeast corner of] the chamber 100 long.

Malbim: This teaches the separation between Lishkos ha'Me'ah and Lishkos ha'Esrim. In front of Lishkos ha'Me'ah were 10 Amos, and after that Lishkos ha'Esrim. The latter's openings faced inside, to the south.

Rashi: It says "Rochav", for this was the width of Beis ha'Chalifos; its length was 15.

The north wall was six Amos wide from north to south. Since it was 10 Amos until the chamber, why is this called the length? Perhaps because the path was open to 50 open Amos until the north wall of Chatzer ha'Chitzonah, from north to south is considered the length. (PF)

Why does it say "El ha'Penimis"?

Radak: "Ha'Penimis" is a Klal; it is like ha'Penimiyos. For each pair of chambers, there were 10 Amos from the outer to the inner. Yonason translates ha'Penimis as a noun (the inner chamber), and not as an adjective.

Why does it say "Derech Amah Achas"?

Refer to 42:4:2:1.

Vilna Gaon: Only one Amah of the path was opposite the north wall, for there were 20 open Amos between the chamber and the cells around the Bayis, and the north wall began after the 15 Amos that the Ulam stuck out north of the cells, and the north wall was six wide.

Malbim: This explains how he entered from Lishkos ha'Esrim to Lishkos ha'Me'ah, for the primary opening of Lishkos ha'Esrim was to the south, and that of Lishkos ha'Me'ah was to the north. There was a narrow opening one Amah wide in Lishkos ha'Esrim opposite Lishkos ha'Me'ah to the north, and in Lishkos ha'Me'ah opposite Lishkos ha'Esrim to the south.

What do we learn from "u'Fischeihem la'Tzafon"?

Rashi: The openings of these chambers were to the north.

Vilna Gaon: This chamber 100 long encompassed smaller chambers (rooms); the openings to them were in the north.

3.

Malbim: The primary opening of Lishkos ha'Me'ah was to the north, towards the Ritzpah. In the south is not called Pesach, for it was only one Amah wide.
