How will he take its blood?

1.

Malbim: This is Kabalah, in a Kli. From Kabalah and onwards requires Kehunah. We learn that (a) Techiyas ha'Mesim will begin before Chanukas ha'Mikdash 1 . (b) The revival will be with the body and Nefesh. The dead will rise with flesh, sinews and bones. He will be complete in his body, without any blemish 2 . An angel or Ba'al Mum may not serve! (c) He will be obligated in Mitzvos like others (who never died). If not, how could he fulfill the Mitzvah of wearing Bigdei Kehunah and all Mitzvos of Korbanos? This will be only if he is revived to be like others!

1

Malbim assumes that Yechezkel will be revived amidst other Mesim. (PF)

2

Indeed, Yechezkel will not be blemished, but we cannot learn to all Mesim. The Mitzvos correspond to the limbs and sinews. Mishnah Berurah (Hakdamah to Hilchos Shabbos, citing R. Chayim Vital and the Gra) say that one who callously transgressed a Mitzvah, the corresponding limb will be blemished when he is revived! (PF).

2)

On what Keranos will he put the blood?

1.

Rashi: On the corners of the Mizbe'ach 1 .

1

Rashi taught this, for "Karnosav" implies of the ox, just like "Damo." However, this cannot be, for an ox has only two horns! (PF)

3)

What are "Pinos ha'Azarah"?

1.

Rashi: The roof of the Mizbe'ach.

2.

Radak: This is the Azarah mentioned above, in front of the Mizbe'ach; the corners of the Azarah of (in front of) the Mizbe'ach.

3.

Malbim: This is the Sovev, which is called "Azarah ha'Gedolah" (14).

4)

What is "ha'Gevul Saviv"?

1.

Malbim: This is the Zeres that juts out from the Mizbe'ach [to divide the places of upper and lower blood); it is called Gevul (13).

5)

What is the meaning of "[v'Chiteisa Oso] v'Chipartahu"?

1.

Rashi: Cleanse it from its secularity, to enter it to Kedushah, to be proper to atone on it from now and onwards.

2.

Radak citing Targum Yonasan: Purify it, and atone on it.

3.

Malbim: Chiteisa is putting blood on the Keranos. Chipartahu is pouring the remnant of blood on the Yesod.
