Metzudas David: He ruled over his heart to tilt it to benefit from the wealth. Metzudas Tziyon - Hishlito is authority and ability.

What is "v'Laseis Es Chelko"?

Rav Sadya Gaon: It is to benefit from his portion in the best way.

Rashi: This is in his death. Hashem merited him to engage in Torah and Mitzvos (Metzudas David - Tzedakah and Chesed) in his lifetime, in order to receive reward.

Rashbam: This is an esteemed gift that he received from Shamayim.

Seforno: This is rare, that one who attains wealth via efforts, he himself eats from it.
