What is "Shemamah"?

1.

Rashi: It is without residents. Malbim ? it will be more desolate than Midbar Divlasah which was very desolate. Places that were more settled will be more desolate. Via this, they will know that I am Hashem!

2)

What is "Meshamah"?

1.

Rashi: It is astonishment ? all who see it will be astounded at it.

2.

Radak: Also this is Shemamah. The matter is repeated to strengthen it.

What is "Midbar Divlasah"?

1.

Radak: This is like Rivlasah; the Dalet is in place of a Reish. The same applies to De'u'el and Re'u'el. It mentions this place because Nebuchadnetzar was there when his army besieged Yerushalayim, and they brought Tzidkiyah there ? "va'Ya'alu Oso El Melech Bavel Rivlasah" (Melachim II, 25:6).

2.

Malbim: It was a very desolate place.
