Malbim: This shows why one should not veer your heart to her path, and not trust in his virtue that he will not come to sin. She killed Atzumim - Giborim in Torah and Yir'ah. They did not stand in the test. Therefore, do not approach her at all - "v'Al Tikrav El Pesach Beisah" (5:8).
