What are "Shiltei ha'Zahav"?
Rashi: They are [gold] quivers to hold arrows, like it says "Haveru ha'Chitzim Mil'u ha'Shelatim" (Yirmeyah 51:11).
Radak: They were gold shields.
Why does the Navi write all of this here, after the Parshah of [David's desire to build] the Beis ha'Mikdash?
Rashi: From all these wars, David gathered [conquered wealth] for the Beis ha'Mikdash.
Why does it say "El Avdei Hadad'ezer"?
Radak: This is like Al Avdei, and so it says in Divrei ha'Yamim I, 18:7.
Why does it say that he brought them to Yerushalayim?

Radak #2: He brought them to Yerushalayim, to the storehouse of Beis Hashem, for Hekdesh (to build the Beis ha'Mikdash).
