Seeing as, from now until the end of the Parshah, the Torah does not specifically mention anybody's death (with the exception of Terach (11:32; see last Rashi in the Parshah), why does it mention the death of Noach here?

Seforno: The main objective of the next Parshah is to teach us how Avraham called out in the Name of HaSh-m. The Pasuk teaches that Noach's death preceded that event.
