Bachye and Seforno 1 : Even if sometimes, the location was not a pleasant one and the people longed to move on, they obeyed Hashem's instructions and remained encamped there for a long period; and even if sometimes, they were weary from traveling and they were keen to rest in one spot for a long period, if Hashem ordered them to break cmp after two or three days, they obeyed His instructions and traveled promptly.
