What do we learn from "Reishis Chachmah Kene Chachmah"?
Rashi: The beginning of your Chachmah, learn from others. Acquire a teaching from a Rebbi.
R. Yonah: First one must learn from a Rebbi, and afterwards understand the reasoning (Shabbos 63a). [R. Meir] went in front of R. Yishmael to learn the text, and afterwards came in front of R. Akiva to understand the reasoning.
Malbim: Chachmah has no beginnings and foundations on which it is founded, only the laws of Chachmah. Its beginning is Chachmah itself. It is unlike Binah, which has a beginning outside of it - the Chachmah that he already acquired, and he understands a matter amidst another matter.
Why does it say "uv'Chol Kinyanecha Kene Binah"?
Rashi: Contemplate by yourself to understand reasons, a matter amidst another matter.
Malbim: One who already has the beginnings, e.g. of geometry or science, he can derive new understandings.
