Rashi: They were entangled and erred in forests and Midbaros.

Radak: This is confusion, like one who is confused, and does not know what to do. This is like "Nevuchim Hem ba'Aretz" (Shemos 14:3).

Malbim: Animals are confused because they have no pasture.

What is the significance of "Gam Edrei Tzon"?

Radak: Sometimes flocks find pasture that cattle do not find, because flocks ascend mountains and hills; cattle usually do not.

Malbim: Did also the flocks sin, and this is why they are punished?!

What do we learn from "Neshamu"?

Rashi: They were ruined in their Ashmah (guilt).

Radak: This is desolation. The same applies to "Tesham Shomron" (Hoshe'a 14:1).
