Why does it say "Ulai"?

Ibn Ezra: This is like Pen ? he fears lest it be so. This is like "Ulai Yemusheni Avi", "Ulai Lo Soveh ha'Ishah" (Bereishis 27:12, 24:5).

Is it a sin to bless Hashem?

Rashi: This is a euphemism for cursing. Ibn Ezra ? this is like "Berach Navos Elokim va'Melech" (Melachim I, 21:13).

Malbim: Perhaps they had a thought of sin against Hashem. The verses teach that there is no reason to which we can attribute the afflictions that came on Iyov.
